A while ago I decided to write my first post on Quora, namely a definition of divine love. For those who have been to my divine love prayer circles, you know this is a topic close to my heart. Here is the definition of divine love. Let me know yours in the comments.
What is divine love?
“Divine Love is the highest form of love in the Universe for it comes directly from the Creator. It will be tempting to attach many positive attributes to it like unconditional, gentle or unselfish and we will be right and yet we would fail to capture completely the true Essence of divine love for it is that and much more. For these attributes are human perceptions of what love is and when we work on ourselves we too can be gentle and unconditional beings to a certain degree. Divine Love is more than what we are capable as human beings, it is received in the core of our beings, our soul. Contrary to certain beliefs, our soul does not contain everything although we can experience a relationship to everything in the universe… it certainly does not contain an infinite supply of divine love although it can have a finite amount of divine love, a spark of divinity if you will. For the Creator does not impose himself onto his children. We are given free will and in this the choice to experience the Love of God. So as we pray for the inflowing of divine love, we are accumulating the essence of Love, sharing soul to oversoul with God. We are transforming our soul, releasing what doesn’t serve us, expanding our capacity to love, and our awareness of the soul reality of God which transcends the material senses and also dimentional concepts like time and space. In time, long after we pass in spirit, we can experience a very advanced spiritual condition: being in a state of at one-ment with the Creator. These beings have many names, they are commonly referred to as Angels. They have received so much of the Divine Love within their souls that they have left their humanity behind and dwell in heavenly planes of spirit matter. More on Soul Truths“
